Through archival interviews, Bob shared how he overcame hatred and hardship on his way to stardom. His mission was to lift the oppressed through song. With hits like ""One Love"" and ""Get Up Stand Up,"" he spread the gospel of the Rastafari. Bob's life began in Jamaica where he found solace in making socially conscious music. With the Wailers, he recorded chart topping songs that have crossed over worldwide. Bob earned the means to take care of his community. But Bob's success did not come without struggle. Political unrest, assassination attempts, and raising a family in his 20s was not easy. When he was struck with a terminal illness, he fought to not let it dim his light. His music, words, and philosophy lived on. This is a special edition episode that contains new content.
